On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming

A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you
Now I'm in a whole new world with you

Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky

A whole new world
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red-letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world
That's where we'll be
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and me

2008

So what happaned in 2008?
Let's talk fun stuff first.

Music: I saw Robert Plant (and Allison Krauss) on May 16th, The Used on June 26th (amazing) and Clutch on June 28th.

Film: I went to the cinema a lot this year, compared to previous years. I saw Sweeney Todd, Sex And The City, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Mamma Mia and Twilight (twice).

Comedy: Discovered both The Mighty Boosh and Russell Brand this year.

Life in General
- Got left alone at Stansted Airport outside of London, England.
- Best friend = no more.
- My father went to rehab (way to go!).
- I got my apartment and moved out.
- Met Pia again for th first time in over 18 months.
- Came to the conclusion that I am a pretty amazing person and that I like myself.

Friends

I don't want friends that I am constantly scared to upset.
Friends that are controlling and egotistical.
Friends that make me feel bad about myself whenever I don't do what they want me to do.
Friends that accuse me of lying about things like allergies.

I want friends that are mature.
Friends that are understanding.
Friends that are sweet and caring.
Friends that are respectful.
Friends that are trustworthy, and trusting.
Friends that are accepting.

I don't want a friend like you.

The Joker

Woke up with the worst stomache ache in months.
When I felt better about four hours later I went and rented The Dark Knight that came out on DVD here today.
Afterwards I felt sick. It was dramatic, action-packed, entertaining, hilarious, sad and nauseating.
I loved it.

Still haven't talked to "my best friend".
Last met saw her on August 22nd.
I haven't done anything to her, and if I have without realizing it she hasn't told me.'
I guess our friendship wasn't ever good for either of us, for various reasons.
I miss her though.

Christmas is creeping closer and closer. I can't wait, but on the other hand I don't want it to come just yet because then it will be over quicker.

New feature (until I get bored of it):

Lyrics of the day:
Hip hip hooray for me
You talk to me
But would you kill me in my sleep
Lay still like the dead
From the razor to the rosary
We could lose ourselves

I will avenge my ghost with every breath I take
I'm coming back from the dead and I'll take you home with me
I'm taking back the life you stole

Banner!

A new banner for Christmas, made by my lovely Sophia (THANK YOU!) who has today started following my bloggy wog *waves manically*
HELLO!

Gerard Way's blog posts on mychemicalromance.com are amazing. It's hard to imagine him and his wife on the couch all pregnant (her, not him) and watching Paris Hilton's My New BFF, passionately discussing the conestants and the drama.

I may write more later.
